Return Orillia’s Climate Action Plan to an integral part of all decisions in a strategic planning process making recommendations to Council.

Manage taxes and spending in relation to service levels, infrastructure obligations, and measurable results. As not only what a program costs, but what residents receive for the expenditure.
PLAN GROWTH BEFORE IT ARRIVES.
Coordinate land use, roads, transit, water and wastewater, parks, housing, development charges, service capacity, and downtown impacts before major growth occurs. Growth should strengthen and enhance the character of our city rather than create two Orillias.
GOOD JOBS. A STRONGER LOCAL ECONOMY.
Treat economic development, downtown viability, employment lands, investment attraction, and assessment growth as parts of the same economic strategy.
